ADTS 505 Software Update Notification

Important software update notification for Druck ADTS 505 models (AD505-1, AD505-2, AD505-1-2952M0, AD505-1-3247M0, AD505-1-3496M0, AD505-1-3550M0, AD505-1-4508M3, AD505-1-4732M0).

What happened: GE has discovered an intermittent software error that may occur during power up initialization that will impact Qc measurement accuracy. The error is activated on power up initialization and may be present during one initialization, but not another. If the error is present, airspeed readings on the ADTS 505 will be incorrect.

What to do: GE will offer a free software update, including collection and return service, for all ADTS 505 series and requests the return of all existing ADTS 505 units to GE. It is highly recommended that you return your equipment for the upgrade as soon as possible.

Important interim guidelines: Until you are able to send the equipment in for the software upgrade, it is important that you perform the simple customer start of the day health check routine K485 at each instance of power up initialization, to determine whether or not your ADTS is functioning correctly. The routine shows where the software error would be and allows you to easily determine if it is present during initialization. If it is not present during initialization, it will not manifest itself later, as long as the equipment is not turned off.
