XpertVision™ External Monitor
An optional battery-operated monitor supplements the XL Go+ system. The monitor easily connects to the Go and provides additional viewing by a second inspector or remote observation.

GE offers a complete line of external and internal retrieval tools to remove foreign objects from hard-to-remove areas-without requiring desassembly. These specialized tools can provide significant cost-savings by minimizing downtime and eliminating the need for additional equipment.
Internal Working Tools*
6.2 mm probe contains an internal working channel for the insertion of the following retrieval tools:
Small (4.0 mm) and Large (8.0 mm) Magnet
4.0 mm or 8.0 mm magnet tool with 2.8 m (9.2 ft.) or 3.4 m (11.2 ft.) working length. Removes foreign objects or debris by magnetic force. Able to reach inside tight spaces to remove metal and other magnetic objects.
Small (1.4 mm) and Large (3.0 mm) Alligator
1.4 mm or 3.0 mm alligator tool 2.8 m (9.2 ft.) or 3.4 m (11.2 ft.) working length. G. rabs foreign objects and debris with alligator-shaped jaws. Fits into confined areas and grabs onto awkwardly positioned objects.
Hook/Comparitor (F100 Application)
Hook/comparitor cable with 2.8 m (9.2 ft.) or 3.4 m (11.2 ft.) working length. Hook grabs onto an F100 Power plant blade and pulls the XL Go+ insertion tube into the engine Comparitor measures the wear on blades in F100 applications. Required to perform F100 inspections.

Alligator tool with 7.8 m (25.6 ft.), 3.3 m (10.8 ft.) or 2.4 m (7.8 ft.) working length. Clamps down on items and retrieves small objects of any shape. Alligator “teeth” grab objects and get them out of the way fast.
4.0 mm snare tool with 7.8 m (25.6 ft.), 3.3 m (10.8 ft.) or 2.4 m (7.8 ft.) working length. Grabs onto foreign objects and debris and pulls it away. Specially shaped tool snares objects to effectively retrieve and remove.
4.0 mm four-wire basket tool with 7.8 m (25.6 ft.), 3.3 m (10.8 ft.) or 2.4 m (7.8 ft.) working length. Enters small spaces and ?ts over objects to capture and pull away. Basket design allows you to entrap foreign matter and quickly remove it.

Fork and Tine

Failure in a new feed water heater (FWH) due to over-rolling of the tube into the tube sheet that caused both localized thinning and a stress riser at the tube OD/tube sheet interface.
Some engines are designed for easy visual inspections. However, in engines that have very restricted access severely limits the choice of suitable borescope equipment. Whether the inspection is performed with a videoprobe or a rigid borescope kit, equipment of the utmost portability and compactness is necessary.
The primary objective of this inspection is to determine that the straightening vanes are clear. Fouled vanes can introduce turbulence into the flow, potentially reducing measurement accuracy.
