GE completes acquisition of Rheonik
Acquisition broadens GE's sensing technology to include coriolis mass flowmeters for harsh environment monitoring
Billerica, Mass. — February 4, 2008 - GE Sensing & Inspection Technologies, a unit of GE Enterprise Solutions (NYSE:GE), announced today that it has completed the acquisition of Rheonik, a leading manufacturer of high accuracy coriolis mass flowmeters used in the oil & gas, process and power industries. The transaction, terms of which are not being disclosed, was completed upon receipt of required regulatory approvals.
The acquisition broadens GE's flowmeter technology offerings for sensing customers. Additionally, Rheonik’s customers will benefit from GE's global presence, technology depth and broad range of sensing products and services.
