GE Sensing Releases Intrinsically Safe Digital Pressure Gauge. The DPI 104 IS provides an accurate, versatile and cost-effective pressure solution

Billerica, Mass. – September 6, 2007.

GE Sensing announces the release of the DPI 104 IS, an intrinsically safe digital pressure gauge. The DPI 104 IS provides an accurate, versatile and cost effective solution in a compact, easy to use package.

The DPI 104 IS can be used in any application where accurate pressure sensing and an intrinsically safe rating are required, such as oil & gas and chemical environments. The unit is certified to ATEX, IECEx and CSA.

“With the DPI 104 IS, we offer an intrinsically safe bundled test and calibration kit including pump, gauge, test hose, case and accessories,” said Tom Reid, Global Product Manager for Pressure, GE Sensing. “The unit can function either as a stand alone process indicator or a test device with our widely proven hand pumps.”

Providing the only digital pressure gauge with ranges to 20,000 psi (1400 bar) in the 0.05% accuracy class, the DPI 104 IS delivers temperature compensated accuracy from –10 to 50ºC (14-122ºF). The large, easy to read display has a five-digit resolution and provides percent pressure indication with a bar graph for quick visual reference.

The DPI 104 IS provides minimum/maximum, tare and alarm functions and a pressure switch test function. The product uses Druck silicon technology. It complements the existing DPI 104 pressure gauge and will be offered in GE Sensing’s hand pump kits.
