NDT-Hardness Testing Products
NDT-Hardness Testing Overview
GE's Inspection Technologies business offers a complete range of portable hardness testers for quick and convenient on-site hardness testing. Our non-destructive hardness testing (NDT) equipment range is comprised of portable instruments and a large number of probes and impact devices – opening up extensive application ranges – for every testing situation. In addition, our NDT hardness equipment offers a quick and economical supplement to stationary hardness testing in the modern production process.
There are three physical methods of NDT hardness testing recognized in the field: the static UCI (Ultrasonic Contact Impedance) method, the dynamic rebound hardness testing method, and the optical TIV (Through-Indenter-Viewing) method. The decision to utilize a specific method depends on the test problem.
Operates according to the rebound hardness testing method.
A small, integrated digital hardness tester which operates according to the dynamic rebound method.
The TIV (Through Indenter Viewing) method is based on hardness testing according to Vickers.
Enables quick and convenient on-site hardness testing according to the UCI method.
Versatile two-in-one tester combining the UCI (Ultrasonic Contact Impedance) and rebound test methods.
Full featured easy-to-use Windows® database program that simplifies the transfer and storage of hardness data.
Hardness data management program that supports the TIV and MIC 20 instruments.
