ALUAR chose Mark VIe DCS, Steam Turbine Mark VIe Control, Bently Nevada 3500 Condition Monitoring and System 1 Software to increase productivity.

ALUAR Aluminio Argentino S.A.I.C.., the leading aluminum provider in Argentina, chose equipment from the Control Solutions and Bently Nevada product lines of GE Measurement & Control Solutions to replace their current control and condition monitoring systems. Each system was selected to replace an outdated and inefficient system.

“We chose GE because of the technology expertise and ability to standardize all plant devices,” said Omar Márquez, of ALUAR.

The installation is expected to be completed in December 2011. The combined system includes the Mark VIe DCS, Mark VIe steam turbine control, Bently Nevada 3500 Condition Monitoring and System 1 Software. It is expected to help increase ALUAR’s plant productivity, add new features to improve operator function, provide a safer working environment and increase the stability of the system.
