Efficiency MAP

EfficiencyMap is an online, real time performance monitoring system that tracks power plant equipment degradation over time using plant measured data combined with sophisticated analytical models of equipment performance. Once the degradation of the equipment is known, EfficiencyMap will suggest the optimal plant operating mode to maximize plant operating profits at current environmental and economic conditions.

Online Heat Balance Module

  • The heat balance module tunes a mass and energy balance model of the plant to match measured data as closely as possible. Discrepancies between the model and the measured data indicate errors in the data.

Performance Module

  • The performance module uses GateCycle™ equipment models to predict the expected performance of major equipment. The difference between expected and current performance is degradation. The performance module tracks degradation over time so you can identify the performance problems that have the greatest effect on changes in plant power and heat rate.

Optimizer™ Module

  • Our Optimizer module tells you the most profitable way to run your plant given current prices, load levels and equipment degradation. This module maximizes the profitability, rather than the efficiency, of your plant by combining plant heat balances with a plant financial model.

Turnkey Installation and Service

  • We install a completely configured EfficiencyMap system on a computer with a connection to your plant DCS and perform acceptance tests to prove its accuracy.
