The Hydro Stator End Winding Accelerometer (SEW Accel) system provides a cost-effective and reliable method for monitoring Stator End Winding vibration. This product utilizes a dual-axis MEMS capacitive accelerometer encapsulated in a highly electrically insulated probe housing and mounting system. This unique sensor system provides flexibility and simplicity of installation. The hydro SEW Accel system is safe, reliable and durable for hydro applications.

Available in either a 50mm or 20mm version for smaller machines, our 4000 Series air gap sensor systems are specifically designed to measure air gap on hydro generators and motor/generators, GE’s unique design (U.S. patent pending) incorporates many of the same robust design features found in our eddy-current proximity probes to ensure long life and trouble free operation.

This package combines a 3300 XL 8 mm proximity probe and a Velomitor® velocity transducer into a single housing, providing shaft-relative, casing-absolute, and shaft-absolute measurements when connected to an appropriate monitor or diagnostic instrument. It is used primarily on large steam or gas turbines with very compliant casings.
