GE announced that the United States Coast Guard (USCG) has placed an order for 40 Druck ADTS405F air data test sets

Billerica, Massachusetts, April 28, 2005 .

adts3001GE Infrastructure Sensing, a leading provider of precision sensing products, systems and services, announced that the United States Coast Guard (USCG) has placed an order for 40 Druck ADTS405F air data test sets used to calibrate cockpit instrumentation on its fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters.

With this award, the USCG has ordered a total of 100 ADTS405F units for calibrating cockpit instrumentation such as altimeters, airspeed indicators, Mach meter and VSI. The ATS405F is fully automated and features a remote hand-held terminal that allows one man to perform the entire pitot static testing while seated in the aircraft cockpit. The test set is fully RSVM-compliant and is used widely by both military and commercial operators.

“This order reaffirms GE’s leadership in the manufacture of air data test sets,” said Pete Straub, manager of GE Infrastructure Sensing’s aerospace business, “and it continues our commitment to our U.S. military customers.” The Coast Guard order follows other large orders from the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy, as well as from foreign military customers. Deliveries of the ADTS405F to the USCG’s Elizabeth City, NC base begin in June and end in September.
