More Versatility from GE’s Next Generation OEM Moisture Analyzer
The compact design and smart probe compatibility of the MTS6 allow for versatile installation options
Billerica, MA – October 27, 2010 - Original equipment manufacturers have a need for flexibility and demand-based moisture control in a number of different applications. The MTS6, the next generation in GE’s Sensing product line’s Moisture Target Series of moisture analyzers for dryer manufacturers, glove box manufacturers, and gas generation skid manufacturers allows for unprecedented versatility as well as demand-based moisture control. Users now have a universal power supply and interchangeable probe options without entering calibration data, providing a significant cost savings. This compact hygrometer display and controller measures the concentration of water in equipment where moisture content impacts the equipment’s or process’ efficiency or performance.
“With a self-programming probe option, internal data logger, universal power supply, and a new 1/8 DIN form factor, the MTS6 brings unprecedented versatility to our OEM customers,” explains Narge Sparages, product manager at GE. “Serving your customers with demand-based moisture control became much simpler with the MTS6.“
Like the MTS5, its predecessor, the MTS6 uses the M Series aluminum oxide probe to measure moisture in the -110 to +20 C dew/frost point range and equivalent ppmv ranges. The MTS6 can also be used in conjunction with the VeriDri moisture transmitter. The probes are interchangeable without the need to program the calibration data. An internal data logger using a microSD card allows the OEM to track the performance of their product at the end user site. The universal power supply makes stocking meters easy for a global customer base.
